My final Goodbye…

a morning kiss, a discreet touch

of his nose landing somewhere

on the middle of my face.  Because his long white whiskers tickled,

I began every day laughing.

Janet F. Faure

We said our final goodbyes to our Buggz on Tuesday.  It was a heartbreaking day but I weathered through it coming out with a feelings that makes me feel like I have a cold heart. I was awash with the feeling of relief and freedom and only a little sad.  Am I wrong, no, the last 2 years I have been a nurse made to my senior pup and I’ve dotted on him hand and foot. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that little furball like he was a human child and he was my best friend but he was a lot of work and stress in his many last months. He was a wonderful little dog, well taken care of but most of all he was loved unconditionally.   I know he is now free of pain and struggling and I did the right thing.

I set him free, I set myself free also.🌼

Thank you for your kind caring words they mean the world to me. ❤

Forever in my heart little buddy ❤

  1. How blessed were you to have Buggz in your life for 16 years? #very. Super sad to hear of his passing, but you definitely did the right thing by letting him go. ‘Unconditional love’ are the words that stick with me here. You had that for each other in spades. That is what makes relationships with our beloved pets so wonderful and so heartbreaking when we have to say goodbye. Sending love from South Africa.

  2. Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear this T. Many hugs and much love going out to you today. Yes, you did the right thing and he knows it. He will be waiting for you in Heaven, young and carefree again some day. Peace be with you, I hope you get feeling better yourself very soon. ((Hugs)) 🙂
